Artist Notes
I downloaded the sample pack then picked a few loops/samples by Heuristics Inc.,Virus Factory and Hebephrenic. It was my first experience using Garage Band on the mac. I like way you can add effects to the individual tracks much like other progs – Logic audio for example. GB seems to be simpler than other progs for some reason. I loaded the samples and started building the track. I then added a few bass synth and drum sounds using the built-in keyboard / midi sequencer. I floated some slide guitar over the mix – sorta like putting sprinkles on a cupcake – but more like if you used licorice and ash icing. Final editing was done in Peak with a little help from the steinberg Lmaximizer plug-in.
